Tom is an Oxford based entreprenuer who received a 1st Class BSc from Exeter University in Computer Science and Business Management. Tom was part of the Exeter entrepreneur society and co-founded, an online marketplace for independent clothing brands. After graduating, Tom took a flight over to Australia where he wrote a successful $1million grant funding application for a simulated design tool called CADwalk and following this took time to travel across Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific islands, through Asia and up to his last point of call in the Himalayas where his ultimate mountain bike adventure ended up in creating a website for a local Nepalese bike guide, inspiring the spark for Trail Unknown. Trail Unknown provide mountain bikers with local guides, coaches and adventure tours across the UK’s National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We also deliver outdoor education and adventurous events for healthy minded schools and businesses.

Control over my own life / working hours / use my time to achieve my own goals, not someone elses.

We tested the idea with 8 friends on our first mountain bike trip in Exmoor National Park. Everyone was so happy and we wrote an article about it that was featured on the biggest mountain bike website in the world, went from there.
