#IDEAOxford has launched its Board Experience Programme for staff & researchers, who identify as women and non-binary, at the University of Oxford.

👉 IDEA will help match up to 20 board apprentices with companies associated with the University of Oxford. Apprentices will gain first-hand experience of the boardroom.

Join us for the launch of IDEA, a University of Oxford initiative addressing inequalities in entrepreneurship.

IDEA (Increasing Diversity in Enterprising Activities) is a set of interventions and actions aimed at addressing inequalities in entrepreneurship.

The first programme is aimed at supporting women in the University of Oxford (students, staff/researchers and alumni), but also women in the Oxfordshire community.

Join us for our first event where we will have an open conversation about the role of diversity in entrepreneurship, and how IDEA is going to help progress the agenda. There will also be time for you to meet others.

Open to anyone connected to Oxfordshire who thinks diversity in entrepreneurship is important!

The #StartedinOxford #DemoDay is a celebration and showcase of the Oxford-linked entrepreneurship community, and will be held online on Wednesday 18 November 2020. This event will bring together some of the startups, spinouts and social enterprises, and key support organisations, linked to the University of Oxford or Oxford Brookes University (students, staff or alumni), or based in Oxfordshire.

In previous years, we have come together in Oxford, with 20-30 startups and over 300 registered attendees mingling and chatting over the course of an evening. This year we will be virtual – there will be even more hand-picked companies to meet and engage with in a fresher’s fair style virtual setup. The fair will be open for almost 24 hours, with specific sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities to hear the startups pitch live throughout the UK work day.

We are asking all attendees to think about how they could support the ventures - even an introduction could be very useful for the right venture. We hope this event will provide many opportunities to create connections across the Oxford ecosystem, and across the globe.

This event will bring together exciting companies and ventures linked to the University of Oxford or Oxford Brookes University (students, staff or alumni) from across the globe, as well as those from across Oxfordshire.

This year we will be virtual – there will be even more hand-picked companies to meet and engage with in a fresher’s fair style virtual setup. The event will be open for almost 24 hours, with sector-specific sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities to hear selected companies pitch live throughout the UK work day. Attendees can find out more about each company, chat with the company representatives, and vote for their favourites to win prizes, including cash, introductions to networks and VIP’s, and connections to the wider Oxford-linked ecosystem.
