Zinc is a new organisation dedicated to replicating the high-tech innovation system in the social sciences. In October 2017, it is launching the “Zinc Transformers”, a 6-month full-time programme bringing 40 social innovators together in London to solve some of the developed world’s biggest social problems. They will be intensively supported by top entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and tech experts.

Zinc is looking for 40 talented individuals, with backgrounds in either tech, social sciences or operations who want to work out their business idea, find their co-founders and create a highly scalable, commercially successful and socially innovative business. Zinc Transformers Founders will be paid a stipend equal to the London living wage throughout the programme. In this talk Zinc's founders Paul Kirby and Ella Goldner will give an introduction to the Zinc Transformers programme.
