Getting ready to file a UK tax return? Confused by the questions and terminology on the HMRC filing gateway? If you were self-employed, a company director or a UK landlord during the 2015/16 tax year then let taxforward help this January!

Come along to this drop-in session at the Launchpad from 12-4pm on January 23rd and you could file your personal tax return there and then*.

No need to register, just come along! The taxforward platform was founded by Oxford Saïd alumna Connie Cha and her team. The service provides Intelligent Forms to help you focus on the important bits, and includes jargon-busting explanations. Taxforward have translated HMRC into everyday language, so you can file your Self Assessment direct to HMRC safely and securely. Taxforward is a HMRC-recognised supplier. *Taxforward charge a small fee for their service (but it's far cheaper than using an accountant!) *You will need to bring the following information/documentation with you in order to complete your tax return: Your Unique Tax Reference (UTR) number, which will appear in any tax-related letter you've received from HMRC Your P60 or P45 statement from your employer for the 2015-16 period Your HMRC Government Gateweay login details If you haven’t registered for Self Assessment yet this is the link – please note that you need to leave 10 days to get your UTR.
