Tackling Climate Change and Slavery: Two Global Leaders Debate Risk, Ethics, and Leadership in Wicked Problems

Two seminal cases will be released for the first time to all guests: ClimateWorks Foundation and TrustLaw.

ClimateWorks Foundation: The case explores the role of philanthropy in solving “wicked problems” and investigates the complexity of building a startup organization while racing to create a strategy to address climate change on a global scale. TrustLaw: The case explores how Thomson Reuters Foundation TrustLaw has tapped the world’s largest law firms to change the fate of domestic workers in the Philippines, battered women in China, and energy-starved villages in India.

Panellists: Larry Kramer, President of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and former Richard E. Lang Professor of Law and Dean of the Stanford Law School Monique Villa, CEO of Thomson Reuters Foundation and founder of Trust Women and TrustLaw programmes dedicated to empowering women, fighting slavery, and advocating social change

Moderated by Peter Tufano, Peter Moores Dean, Saïd Business School.
