Children at risk of entering the care system experience many of the worst effects of child poverty and disadvantage in Oxfordshire.
In a context of austerity, statutory support for these children tends to focus on their basic needs: housing, health and education. However, these three things are not enough for children on the edge of care to grow up to thrive in life.
We are interested in how we can provide wrap around support to improve home situations, and where appropriate, prevent children from entering into care. Join us for a practical session exploring solutions to challenges experienced by children on the edge of care.
This session is hosted by the What Works Centre for Children Social Care, VIP+ and Oxford Hub.
