Monday 14th November 2016, 6.00pm to 9.00pm

Venue: The Story Museum, 42 Pembroke Street, Oxford, OX1 1BP

What do we mean by intellectual property? Is it just patents? Or are there other ways of quantifying it? How do we protect intellectual property and do we need to? More importantly, how do we get a return on investment? Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants As entrepreneurs set off on their dream of glory, they often unintentionally end up reinventing something that already exists. Equally, there are countless corporates, research labs and NGOs that are sitting on literally billions of pounds worth of unexploited value, even worse they have no idea what they have! car2 We are fortunate to have leading expert Dr Chris Donegan to enlighten us. Chris believes that the UK and indeed the world needs to change its approach to exploiting Intellectual Property, valuing Intellectual Property and building new business models around it. As we contemplate post-Brexit rumbles in the economy, perhaps there is some light at the end of the tunnel?

We look forward to seeing you there!
