This is a Full Day workshop for people who want to develop Social Marketing skills as part of personal career development. You will go away with an understanding of how to use these three key networks to market a business or yourself, and which one to use when. By the end of the day you will have learnt: The benefits of a Facebook page, Twitter and LinkedIn and how small businesses use them with examples How to set up your Facebook web address, call to action button, profile picture and cover photo How to post content to Facebook and what content works Completing your Twitter profile and how to Tweet Finding people to follow on Twitter Understanding the language of Twitter Creating a strong LinkedIn profile Best practice for connecting with people, writing connection scripts that really work. Delegates can have no or little previous experience of social media to benefit from attending the workshop. However there is an expectation that delegates have experience of using a laptop / computer in a personal or business context and regularly use and access the internet. The workshop will be delivered in an interactive manner through the "bring your own devices" operated by delegates, group discussion and exercises. Delegates are asked to bring laptops with up to date browsers if at all possible rather than mobile devices (e.g. Tablets and phones). To get the best out of the workshop, it would be helpful if you have set up : a personal Facebook account and set up a business page (notes on how to set up a business page will be provided in advance) a Twitter account and a LinkedIn account. This workshop is not recommended where these basic digital skills are not held by potential delegates. If this is you, there are other workshops offered by your local college to get you up to speed. Coffee and tea will be provided from 9am and during the workshop. Please bring your own lunch. For details, link here:
