Who better to partner with than with local experts from some of the country's best universities, technical colleges and research groups? Join us at the next in our series of workshops to meet like-minded experts and other businesses in order to share knowledge, inspire and collaborate to create a cutting edge smart city product. Who should attend? If you are a start up or SME interested in: • Exploring the power of technology to improve your city • Realising your full potential in the smart city market • Capitalising on innovative technology solutions and harnessing all available data and case studies Then this is the workshop for you! What will I learn? We continue our series of workshops helping SMEs and Start ups harness the power of technology and innovation to tap into the Smart city market. Our last workshop focussed on smart solutions to some of the issues facing our local community. This time, we want to create a network of experts from universities and research groups to work together to develop a great product with the potential to help communities in Oxford and beyond. This is the third in a series of seminars designed to invite SMEs and start-ups to partner with Smart Oxford and discover ways to build and deploy Smart City Solutions. By working with other local people from universities and research institutions who are passionate about our community and innovative technology, you can develop and ultimately take to market a tried, tested and approved Smart city product or service. In this workshop you’ll be able to: Connect with knowledge exchange and innovation teams at Oxford University, Oxford Brookes University and Activate Learning. Hear about case studies of other successful partnerships that collaborated on smart city products. Understand how partnerships can work and the opportunities available. Understand the community issues explored in our previous workshops. Gain access to open source data from the city, county councils, and NHS Trusts to inform your solutions and support your ideas. By attending this workshop, Smart Oxford will help to connect you with their innovative network and are working on setting up a co-working space in the centre of Oxford, which you may be able to benefit from. Please note that the workshop is part-funded by European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) and is available to eligible SME applicants as part of phase 2 of the Innovation Support for Business (ISfB) programme.
