+++ Rescheduled from 2 Jul to 8 Oct +++ Oxford City Council, Heart of Business and Against Breast Cancer partner with Ridgeway Jaguar to host a one of a kind networking event with a healthy focus. How many of us power through at work while feeling simply dreadful? Illness in the workplace is commonplace in every business across the nation and more than 131 million days were taken off ill in the UK in 2014. Thursday October 8th will be the date for a unique business networking event unlike any other that has ever taken place in Oxford where stress and combatting illness in the workplace is high on the agenda. Oxford City Council will be proudly launching their new RAW programme (Resilience at Work) that will demonstrate methods for busy, working people to help cope with illness and lethargy. The unique event is being held in partnership with Ridgeway Jaguar Oxford, Heart of Business and Oxford’s own Against Breast Cancer charity who all share a common interest: ensuring people take better care of themselves and each other at work. Is this event for you? The event is aimed at business owners and senior managers who know that their health and the health of the team makes for a much better business. They know that the right combination of stress-management, clear business growth planning and community outreach can boost all aspects of their business. There are only a few days to go before the event. If you can't make it and know someone who should come, share this invitation with them! Both Heart of Business – an Oxford based business mentoring company for Small & Medium Enterprises and Ridgeway Jaguar Oxford, will be presenting their services and products and demonstrating how they can help to alleviate stress in the working environment. One of the main features of the evening will be a talk from Dr Nicola Winstone, Research Manager at Against Breast Cancer, on how diet and lifestyle can reduce the chances of developing secondary breast cancer. The charity will also be showcasing its future research projects. You will also meet triathlete Toby Garbett – Olympian and two-time World Champion rower. He brings his in-depth understanding of focus, motivation and self belief into his work with clients and can help them achieve their goals whether they are complete beginners, returning to fitness after a break or competing for competition. Heart of Business will also be presenting at the event to explain how its mentoring-style business growth service can help reduce stress for the owners of small and medium sized businesses. AND there will be prizes to bid for in a charity auction on the night Including a special Jaguar drive, a Business Growth Kickstart Session and lots more The event will take place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Ridgway Jaguar Oxford, Cumnor Hill, Oxford, OX2 9PL on Thursday 8th October.
