“This is not about helping women. This is about helping the world through women. This is about showing women that they are needed the way they are.” Riccarda Zezza, CEO, Maternity As A Masters

Join us for a Skoll Ecosystem event to celebrate an emerging body of knowledge coming from Ashoka’s diverse network of women social entrepreneurs. Featuring Ashoka staff, Fellows and partners, we will host a 1.5 hour interactive session to celebrate an emerging body of knowledge about the state of social entrepreneurship, women, and leadership. The purpose is to explore how the definitions of success and impact in social entrepreneurship may need to broaden. Attendees will discuss the unique leadership of female social entrepreneurs and their pathways to impact. We will explore how different scaling and spread patterns could be better understood and supported in ways that help women social entrepreneurs thrive. This event builds on the insights from Ashoka’s landmark 2018 global impact study, a recent $700k innovations award for women with new models for the economic advancement of women in Africa, and our latest report Celebrating ChangemakHERS: How Women Social Entrepreneurs Lead and Innovate.
