About the panel:
James Hall has enjoyed a highly successful career as an entrepreneur, having founded and led several organizations including Insurance Point, which provides insurance benefits to healthcare employees at hundreds of hospitals across the United States and was acquired in 2014; Ebenefits.com, a successful web-based human resource benefits administration system that was acquired in 2007; and Versa Ventures, a management consulting and investment firm. James also served as CEO of Children’s Miracle Network and as a former director of the Entrepreneurship Centre at Saïd Business School.
Husayn Kassai is the co-founder and CEO of Onfido, the Oxford Seed Fund’s first investment. Onfido uses machine learning to deliver next-generation identity verification by comparing users’ identity documents and facial biometrics while cross-referencing against international credit and watchlist databases. Onfido has received over $60m in funding from investors including Microsoft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and Crunchfund, and carries out checks in 192 countries for global customers including ZipCar, Couchsurfing, Revolut and Square.
Valentine Njoroge is a current director of the Oxford Seed Fund and MBA candidate at Saïd Business School. She previously managed the $5m Centum Foundation and founded Mradifund, an online fundraising company that has connected more than 20 businesses with over $3 million in investment funds.
