To innovate in an organisation requires people to collaborate and to think logically and creatively. To enable this, you need to use a structured approach and tools to innovate, plus you need to foster an innovative climate. I consider that there are two types of innovative climate. One is the microclimate that you create in a workshop situation. The other is the macroclimate that you develop in the organisation.

In this workshop we will establish a microclimate for you to experience different dimensions of the innovative climate. Next, we will ask you to use our Action Dimensions tool to assess the macroclimate in your work and identify which dimensions you would first influence to begin to create a more innovative climate. This is an interactive, participative and practical workshop and you will leave with a tool you can use with your team and some facilitation ideas.

Our Speaker: John Brooker For fourteen years, John has facilitated workshops with organisations such as Airbus, Unipart and Visa to help them align and engage their teams and to think in an innovative way. He joined Visa as an ATM Engineer in 1985, becoming a Senior Vice President in 1996. His area of expertise was to innovate new services and effect major change, including the introduction of the international ATM network in EMEA, Business Education services, the marketing of the early Internet payment programmes and the transformation of support services. He formed Yes! And in 2001 and is particularly experienced with multinational and multicultural teams, working regularly throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. John has an MBA (Open) and tutored on the Creativity, Innovation and Change course for 14 years. Based on his years of experience as a leader, facilitator and tutor he developed his own Inn8® innovation approach, which the Unipart Group, headquartered in Oxford, has licenced from Yes! And, for use in their company innovation programme.
