This forum will be focused on the issue of boosting productivity – a topic which has been puzzling government officials and economists interested in the competitiveness of the UK and its regions – but also a topic relevant to the success of individual businesses. This is the first of a series of three events which will explore this theme, exploring different perspectives on productivity, why its matters, and ways of improving the productivity of businesses and places.
A range of speakers will provide their insights into how they have grown their business by becoming more productive, highlighting their successes and challenges for the future. For the first event, we have a range of knowledgeable speakers including Phil Shadbolt OBE (Founder and Chairman of Zeta Group), John Boyle (Founder and CEO of Computer Consultants) and Steve Smith (MD UK & Ireland of A.C. Nielsen). Sir Andrew William Dilnot, CBE will open the event and chair the session. Sir Andrew is a British economist and broadcaster. He was formerly the Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He is now Warden of Nuffield College, Oxford, and also chairs the UK Statistics Authority. We hope you can join us. Kind regards Oxford City Council Regeneration, Economy & Partnerships Team
