Sander Dieleman is a research scientist at Google DeepMind where, among other projects, has worked on the development of the iconic WaveNet and AlphaGo neural networks. During his PhD at the University of Ghent, Sander developed the Theano-based deep-learning library "Lasagne" and won solo and team gold medals respectively at Kaggle's "Galaxy Zoo competition" and "Data Science Bowl competition". He has also developed convolutional neural network models for music recommendation for Spotify. Sander will talk about some of his most recent work at DeepMind. We have been asked not to livestream or record the talk, so the number of spaces is limited to a lecture room.
