The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect in the spring of 2018, and will impose significant new obligations on organisations that handle any sort of personal date of EU residents.
Our next Senior Executive Breakfast meeting, kindly hosted by Penningtons Manches in Oxford on Wednesday 31 January, will address exactly what the introduction of the GDPR means for the life sciences industry. Industry expert speakers will also provide insight on the following:
-
What does personal data actually mean?
-
Does GDPR pose any challenges unique to the Life Sciences Industry; particularly in regards to genetic and biometric data, scientific research and results?
-
What are your obligations as a company owner?
-
What are the legal implications for non-compliance?
-
Will it cause an administrative burden?
-
What impact will Brexit have on GDPR?
-
What are the impacts of sharing data via social media?
