21 February 19:30-20:30
The Oxford Brookes Economics and Finance Society (OBEFS) is proud to present Human Risk with Christian Hunt.
About this Event
Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) Group AG is a top multinational investment bank and financial services company founded and based in Switzerland. Christian Hunt leads the organisation as the Head of Compliance and Operational Risk Control EMEA at UBS and the Global Head of Compliance and Operational Risk Control for Asset Management. He has also run a London based family office which managed hedge funds and was active in private equity. Prior to that he was a Director in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank and holds an MA from the University of Oxford.
In this session, Christian will explore one of the biggest risks facing most organisations; Human Risk (people doing something they shouldn't or not doing something they should). As technology evolves, how do we ensure that we don't deploy AI that mimics our bad habits? Simultaneously, as the roles that humans perform become more cognitive, the risks associated with them increase. How can we use behavioural science to better understand and manage this risk? The talk will be around 45 mins and Q&A will follow.
