Are you an early staged business, have an idea or have been trading and want to pitch your idea to global brands and investors? MSDUK is inviting founders from ethnic minority backgrounds to our information session to find out how you can get your idea of the ground.
Oxford Brookes Enterprise Support is really excited to invite startups and founders with an innovative product or technology to participate in MSDUK Innovation Challenge. If you are a business led by an ethnic minority founder or entrepreneur, this is your chance to showcase your innovation and pitch to global brands and investors.
For successful applicants, the competition includes pitch preparation, judged rounds where you pitch directly to a panel of global brands, investors and entrepreneurs, receiving valuable feedback. Followed by a public finale, where the best pitches in their category compete in front of a live audience to win a cash prize of £5,000, business scholarships to the Ivy League’s Tuck School of Business in the US, mentoring with Accenture & Digital Catapult, access to market, investors and fast-track opportunity to Techstars accelerator programmes.
This year’s theme, ‘Better Ideas for a Better World’, focuses on technologies, products, services or business models in 4 key areas: Industry 4.0, Social Innovation, Healthcare and Wellbeing and Sustainable Futures. Don’t miss this opportunity to kickstart your business!
Come along to the session we will be hosting to hear more information and get support with your application, as well as hear from MSDUK’s inspiring founders who speak about their journey as an entrepreneur running a business, with a Q&A session at the end.
Twipes is an exciting and ecologically-friendly start-up, created by Al Borz and Elle McIntosh. The young business is making wet wipes that contain no alcohol, are antibacterial and take 3 hours to break down in the water. They represent the first wet wipes that, by being both flushable and biodegradable, are an environmentally friendly innovation. The wipes are also hygienic and designed with no plastic. Twipes is today growing its team and ready for the next exciting step: the upcoming online launch of the product.
Mobile barbering: 'It's like Uber, but for haircuts' – London-based startup Trim-It will come to your door with scissors. But in a good way. The mobile barber service is the first of its kind in the UK and will go anywhere in London to deliver a high quality cut to your hair.
