Introduction to Marketing is a half day introduction to marketing in a friendly environment. It's a combination of the latest, smartest ideas from leading marketers two decades working with the world's leading brands a wealth of experience coaching startups and SMEs delivered as a series of straightforward, easy-to-understand tips that build on each other. No prior knowledge or experience of marketing is required.
We start from scratch. The day begins with a look at Branding. We've all got a brand, so how can we improve it? What are your values? Are you focusing on the 'what', the 'how' or the 'why' – and which matters the most? We then consider your Audiences. Who do you sell to? Can we find obvious clusters? Do you sketch out a portrait of your ideal customer? What's your sales process? Who really makes the decisions? It's then time to move on to Channels. How do you reach everyone? Can you do it directly? What use is the media? Have you thought about holding events? How can you make the best use of email, social media, search engines and the web? We finish with Messages: what sort of dialogue do you have with customers? Are you saying the right thing, at the right time, to the right person, in the right place? At the end of the morning, we make sure everyone leaves knowing what one thing could transform their marketing in a day, in a week and in a month.
