Jaideep Prabhu is the co-author of Frugal Innovation: How to Do More with Less, which explains the principles, perspectives and techniques behind frugal innovation, a way that companies can develop high-quality products and create value in today's cost-constrained environment. Companies in the developed economies are seeking new routes to long-term business success, while also appealing to cost-conscious and environmentally-aware consumers.

In his lecture, Professor Prabhu will cover some key principles and insights for business professionals to utilise the concepts of frugal innovation to create sustainable profits with limited resources while navigating the great changes ahead. He is also a Professor of Marketing and Director of the Centre for India & Global Business at Cambridge Judge Business School. His research and consulting expertise straddles marketing, innovation, competitive interaction, and international business. In 2016, Jaideep Prabhu was named by Thinkers50 as a management thinker "most likely to shape the future of how organisations are managed and led." Professor Prabhu has also written Jugaad Innovation: Think Frugal, Be Flexible, Generate Breakthrough Growth, described by The Economist as "the most comprehensive book" on the subject of frugal innovation. Jaideep Prabhu holds a BTech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a PhD from the University of Southern California.
