The Entrepreneurship and Africa OBNs are co-hosting a Founder Talk featuring Jason Dudek, a Canadian entrepreneur who has founded the most successful food production company in Sierra Leone. Mountain Lion Agriculture aims to improve food security of Sierra Leone by providing multi-faceted support to more than 2000 small-holder farmers and creating a national brand that will benefit consumers, producers and communities. During the Ebola crisis, Mountain Lion Agriculture was the only foreign invested agriculture business that continued to perform well. Last year, the company won Canada’s prestigious Social Finance Award for their tremendous achievement in a risky environment. Jason also has business experience in Canada, the UK and Iraq, co-founding a firm employed by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization to conduct Iraq's Official Investment map. He has an extensive background in finance, organizational administration and business development in post-conflict countries. He has been working in and traveling to Sierra Leone for the past 12 years. Jason will speak about his experience founding and growing Mountain Lion Agirculture, their work in Sierra Leone during the Ebola crisis, as well as a business approach to the bottom of the pyramid. ———— 6:00-6:15 Networking 6:15-6:45 Jason's presentation 6:45-7:30 Q&A and discussion Anyone who would like to join a small group dinner to talk about agri-busines with Jason please email Songqiao.Yao@sbs.ox.ac.uk.
