Inspiring Women in Leadership and Learning (iwill) invites you to hear Dr. Michael Smets (Saïd Business School) outline findings from The CEO Report. The report, which presents findings from interviews with more than 150 CEOs around the world, explores a range of issues related to a central question: how do senior executives develop the competence to lead in a changing world? Joanna Simons CBE, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire County Council Joanna Simons has been Chief Executive of Oxfordshire County Council since 2005. Prior to this she was Chief Executive of the London Borough of Sutton, and before that Director of Housing at the London Borough of Greenwich. Joanna's professional background is in housing and regeneration and she has had long-standing links with the voluntary sector, including several environmental charities and major housing associations.She has been an advisor to the Local Government Association, a member of a range of government advisory groups on housing, and Chair of Governors of Oxford Brookes University. She is currently a trustee of Shelter. Joanna was awarded a CBE for services to Local Government in the Queen's birthday honours 2011.
