Philip Dawid is an Emeritus Professor of Statistics at the University of Cambridge. His research aims to understand and explore the connexions between logical and philosophical principles of inference, mathematical structures, and data-analysis. He tries to critically examine the Logical Foundations of Statistics – especially Bayesian, but also Likelihood, Frequentist, Structural and Fiducial. Philip Dawid is currently Director of the Cambridge Statistics Initiative, which is charged with developing novel statistical methodology of value in real applications.
