Confessions of an Entrepreneur is a guest speaker series from the Oxford Launchpad and the Careers Service, designed to help you get an insight into the mindset of current entrepreneurs. You’ll learn tips and tricks – and the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur, or entrepreneurial. John Bond – Co-Founder, WhiteFox What happens when you decided to launch a start-up when the only working world you know is a corporate? John will spill the story on what he's learned as his venture approaches their third anniversary. John had a twenty year career in mainstream trade publishing. He was Marketing Director at Penguin UK, before becoming a Main Board Director at Harper Collins, where he ran Group Sales and Marketing and subsequently spent six years in charge of the literary fiction and non-fiction publishing division, which included the award winning 4th Estate imprint. In 2012, he set up whitefox with fellow corporate refugee, Annabel Wright. Since then, it has developed into the UK's largest curated network of publishing freelancers, working as an outsource with dozens of publishers, with hundreds of writers who are self-publishing and with brands and content owners creating new commercial revenue streams and content marketing strategies.
