Gather round and join us for an afternoon of interactive workshops about the Circular Economy!
What is the circular economy?
The Ellen MacArthur foundation defines it as "Looking beyond the current take-make-waste extractive industrial model, a circular economy aims to redefine growth, focusing on positive society-wide benefits. It entails gradually decoupling economic activity from the consumption of finite resources, and designing waste out of the system."
Essentially the Circular Economy reimagines the way we make, use, and throw away things – it's a solution to climate change that rethinks our systems.

What is the Circular Economy Circus?
There will be 3 case studies (1 hour each) presented by industry experts from the likes of HP (the electronics company) and SystemIQ (who will present a Textiles game). The format will be 15 minutes of presentation and background information, followed by a 40-minute workshop in small groups. This way, you will learn not only by listening, but by doing.
Who should attend?
This event is open to all – students, parents, teachers, Oxford residents, and the whole community. You do not need to be overly familiar with the Circular Economy.
We hope to see you there!
