Oxford Saïd is pleased to welcome Binod Chaudhary to the School on Thursday 23 February as part of our Distinguished Speaker Seminar series. Binod will be discussing his inspiring success story of becoming one of Asia's biggest businessmen as the president of the Chaudhary Group; a multi-national conglomerate company in banking, insurance, finance and housing.
His grandfather was a textile trader and owned a small textile store which his father transformed into Arun Emporium. Binod transformed the store into a conglomerate and, forty years later in 2013, became the first and only Nepali entrepreneur to be listed as a billionaire by Forbes. His passion for growing his business, in the face of stiff challenges, is renowned.
About the speaker Binod Chaudhary is the President of CG Corp Global, a multi-dimensional conglomerate with a portfolio comprising of 80 businesses over 30 countries and 5 continents. These include FMCG, electronic, Hydro, cement, real estate and hospitality businesses, however he is also expanding CG Foods with new factories in Serbia, Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh. Binod, whose family hails from India, founded the Chaudhary Foundation which makes significant contributions to education, health, sports and youth empowerment. The foundation pledged $2.5 million to build schools and houses after the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015. Registration Please remember that registration is required to attend this event.
