These Awards recognise those who undertake high-quality engagement activities or have contributed to building capacity in this area. Up to 12 Awards will be made across three categories: Projects, Building Capacity, and Early Career Researcher.

 

Winning entries receive recognition for their achievements at the Awards Ceremony that will take place on Wednesday 10 July 2019. The winner of the VC’s Choice Award will also be announced at the ceremony and receive a prize of £1,500.

 

The Vice-Chancellor's Public Engagement with Research (PER) Awards recognise those who undertake high-quality engagement activities or have contributed to building capacity in this area.

 

Entrants can be at any level in their career and activities of any scale are welcome.

 

There are three categories of Award:

 

Project Awards for individual researchers or teams who have developed and delivered high-quality PER projects. Up to six winners will be selected for this category.

 

Building Capacity Awards recognises divisions, departments, research groups, museums, colleges or platforms and programmes that have encouraged, facilitated and supported high-quality PER to take place. Up to three winners will be selected for this category.

 

Early Career Researcher Awards recognises those at the early stages of their career, including DPhil students, who are active in engaging the public with their research. Up to three winners will be selected for this category.
