We would like to invite ambitious undergraduate and graduate students to apply to our 10 to 12-week Nanoship (paid internship programme). If you are interested in joining a creative, driven team and making a real difference to one of the fastest growing Oxford spin-outs, this opportunity is for you.

About ONI

At ONI we empower scientists to take their research to the next level with cutting edge hardware, precision sample preparation and next generation analysis tools. Our flagship product, the Nanoimager, is the world’s first desktop super resolution microscope capable of observing individual molecules within living cells. Since spinning out from Oxford University in 2016, ONI has rapidly grown to a team of 100 with over 30 nationalities represented.

ONI was recently selected as one of the “Sunday Times Top 10 Disruptors to watch” – a list of companies all at the forefront of creating technologies capable of changing the world for the better.

The Hardware Team at ONI are focused on the development and implementation of new imaging modes for our flagship product. We work on the whole product from optics to electronics, from algorithms to firmware implementation. As a member of the Hardware Team you could be involved in investigating new imaging modes using knowledge of optics, programming in Python and C++ and electronics. All with the aim of making new powerful imaging techniques to researchers in the life science industry.

Data Analysis:

The Data Analysis Team at ONI are focused on the cutting edge, state of the art image processing and machine learning algorithms in microscopy on biology analysis. We develop new algorithms for customers and implement classical method for our new cloud platform. As a member of the DA team you will be involved in implementing these new algorithms, empowering biologists with these never-before available tools, on our cloud platform.

Operations/Office Coordination

ONI is a dynamic and fluid organisation which has seen expediential growth over the last 12-18 months. A summer internship in our Operations Team would allow you to be involved a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to;
