This is a morning workshop which aims to show how this social media tool, usually used for personal interaction, can be used to support both existing small businesses and for newly created businesses. It will demonstrate how Facebook can build trusting relationships with clients, using private or public messaging, videos or photos. Facebook for business can also support a low cost PR activity, communicating new deals, products and generally “soft selling” products and services. The workshop key elements include: Why Facebook for Business? Facebook Profile vs Facebook Business Page Setting up your Business Page Completing your Business Page for maximum impact Connecting and interacting Delegates can have little experience of using Facebook, but must have a personal profile and login. Delegates need to have experience of using a laptop / computer in a personal or business context and to regularly use and access the internet. It is recommended that delegates have attended one of the Introduction to Social Media for Business workshops that have been run in the previous two weeks around the county. The workshop will be delivered in an interactive manner through the "bring your own devices" operated by delegates, group discussion and exercises. Delegates are asked to bring laptops with up-to-date browsers rather than mobile devices (e.g. Tablets and phones). Delegates will also be required to access their personal email accounts during the workshop. Delegates will be able to download all workshop materials after the event. Coffee and tea will be provided from 9am. For details, link here:
