Digital Health Oxford Thursday, December 3 at 7:00 PM
From custom prosthetics to skin and organs, advances in medical imaging and 3D printing are accelerating in this exciting field. We've teamed up with the University of Oxford 3D Printing Society to bring a great speaker to Oxford to give an expert talk on 3D printing in healthcare.
Prof Kenny Dalgarno is the Sir James Woodeson Professor of Manufacturing Engineering at Newcastle University. For the past decade he has been researching in the area of additive manufacture, with applications in rapid prototyping and manufacturing; polymer engineering; and with an increasing emphasis on applications in biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine, with work supported by the EPSRC, the European Commission, Arthritis Research UK, the Carbon Trust, and industry. His current research focusses on biofabrication and innovative manufacturing of medical devices, particularly tissue engineering scaffolds for application in regenerative medicine.
This event will be held in Balliol College (room tbc), on 3rd December, and all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
