“Disruptive innovation” is a powerful way of thinking about innovation-driven growth and organisational development.

About this Event

“Disruptive innovation” happens in every industry. Entrepreneurs achieve disruption by developing start-ups that transform the way business is done. For example, Airbnb has changed the world of travel forever. The term “disruptive innovation” was first defined and analysed by the late Clayton M. Christensen , a Harvard University professor, and his team beginning in 1995. It is a powerful way of thinking about innovation-driven growth and organisational development.

A “disruptive innovation” often creates a new market and value network , as in the case of Airbnb. Hence, successful businesses do not wait for the next wave of start-ups to disrupt their industry. Many established companies are disrupting themselves internally. For example, Johnson & Johnson created the Clinical Trial Innovation (CTI) to develop solutions that will modernize clinical trials, improve data quality, enhance the processes for patients and investigators. To compete with disruptors, many companies need to capitalize on internal disruptive innovation.

This webinar aims to discuss pertinent issues about “Disruptive Innovation Within An Industry”.
