Event Information

The first in our event series focused on supporting ex-military founders’ business ventures

About this event

Building a network is key to starting and scaling a business and how you engage, grow, and nurture an effective network can make a huge difference to the success of your business. Join our discussion focused to hear how military veterans can and have succeeded in building their networks, and learn about the support available.

Our first session on the 30th of June will include an introduction from Scott Johnson of Veteran Owned UK and an insight into how he started his company. Learn how he has been able to grow a network to become the UK’s largest online Veteran Owned Business Directory.

We’ll also hear from Tim Jones, Founder of Positive Transition, who will be speaking about his own experience of leaving the military to starting his own business supporting other veterans with that journey and from Steve Smith former Parachute Regiment SNCO, founder of SWS Performance Fitness and GB Bobsleigh Development and Push Coach.

Tiffany Daugherty, Head of Military & Veterans Outreach – Americas, will provide an overview of Barclays support and resources for the military community.

This session will be interactive and give you the opportunity to ask the speakers your questions.

Conference details will be sent out approximately one hour prior to event start time.
