Introducing Student Property Monthly

In Summer 2021, three entrepreneurial Real Estate students set up Student Property Monthly. The magazine was intended for their fellow students to learn more about the industry, the latest trends, and new perspectives. Within months, it was being circulated to over 7,000 people, reaching both students and senior players. The students secured sponsorship and graduated: passing the baton to a new team. Talk to both founding members and current student editors about how SPM was created, is evolving, and what comes next.

The talk will include:

– How to approach senior people in the industry for interviews when they have no idea who you are!

– Why SPM gained momentum so quickly

– Talking with potential sponsors

– The benefits of podcasts

– Balancing the challenges of studying and producing SPM

– Advice for students who want to set up a similar project

This event is part of the ‘Creative Solutions’ themed events at Thrive festival.

Thrive Festival celebrates inspiration, creativity and innovation. Open to everyone, it’s a chance for those already interested or involved in enterprise to develop their skills and those who aren’t to get curious.

Enterprise/ Entrepreneurship could mean anything from a project or undertaking, taking initiative, being resourceful, being ‘business minded’ or owning a business or company.

Thrive 2022 will run between Monday 14th and Saturday 19th of November.
