An open discussion on getting funded

About this event

Why attend three presentations when you could enjoy one event?

Join us to hear three top minds with three unique perspectives debate the hottest topics in the start-up ecosystem:

  • Optimal decision-making processes as a founder
  • Pathways from theory to practice
  • The future of VC

We invite you to pose challenging questions to our speakers during the Q&A and take an active role in the evening. Question their assumptions, raise novel arguments and depart the event a wiser person.

About our speakers:

Luisa Alemany has taught across the world and is now Associate Professor at London Business School. Award-winning teaching followed on from work at McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, and directorship of a leading international institute in the entrepreneurship field. She has written several books and is regularly published in top academic journals.

Ian Chapman-Banks is a scientist and coder with an MBA from Chicago Booth. He has held senior leadership positions in Apple, Microsoft, and Dell, and was CEO of a US$4bn business at Motorola Asia Pacific. He is now CEO of Sqreem Technologies.

Francesco Corea is a tech investor with a background in data science. He is currently a Research Lead at Balderton, a major EU fund, and his role focuses on using data to improve the VC workflow.

This event is a collaboration between the Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC), and the Oxford Venture Capital Network (OXVC).

The Zoom link will be released shortly before 6pm.
