Rising Stars is the UK’s most exciting competition for early stage scaleups, designed to showcase and support the best the country has to offer at a local, regional and national level.

Key Dates

Applications are open 6 September and run to 11 October.

You will benefit from significant profile raising throughout the competition, along with the opportunity to put your business in front of leading investors, influencers and corporates. We will even work with you throughout to ensure your business is investor ready, you are pitch ready, along with giving you access to top content, workshops and drop in sessions with key partners.

What’s involved?

Supporting early stage tech companies to succeed is at the heart of Rising Stars, at each stage of the competition we will ensure you are given the training and support to enable you to compete to the best of your ability and deliver the perfect pitch.

The application form is the initial part of the competition, and entrants can be supported through the process by their local Scaleup Engagement Manager
All applicants will receive valuable content and networking opportunities whilst the judging is underway, regardless of whether they progress to the next phase of the competition
This year we will be having City Winners, celebrating the most exciting innovative businesses on a local level at tech community events across the UK
The City Winners will go on to pitch at a Regional Final to get a spot as a Regional Winner progressing to the Semi Finals
The competition will culminate by celebrating the top 20 Finalists, who will be showcased and promoted to a curated audience of investors, corporates and key ecosystem players at the National Final event. The judges will then have the incredibly challenging task of selecting the 10 companies that will be named as this year’s Rising Stars, who will feature in a high profile celebration and be given additional tailored support through the Tech Nation network
