Come and meet up with other purpose driven businesses to share ideas, inspiration and learning around the theme of sustainability.

What?
How can we make genuinely affordable, accessible and inspiring work spaces for Oxford’s creators, makers, doers and fixers helping to build a more inclusive economy?

Hear how Makespace Oxford have been testing and developing new models by unlocking empty buildings through the Meanwhile in Oxfordshire programme to inspire a more just use of space that works for communities across Oxfordshire.

How does access to green space, which improves physical and mental well being, intersect with climate justice? And what are communities around Oxford doing to promote and facilitate this access? Hear some examples of what Community Action Groups are making happen with their local greenspaces.

The aim is to encourage an informal but supportive environment for businesses to:

be inspired and learn from others
share knowledge and examples of best practise
develop your own sustainability strategy and policies
encourage collaborations and partnership development
stimulate interest and thinking on what is desirable and possible
Themes and topics for the Sustainability Cafe sessions will include:

The food system – how to think about impacts and how to make change

Biodiversity – why it’s important now and how to save it through what you do as a business

Retrofitting your business

Waste and circular economy

Green finance, pensions and investments

Refreshments will be provided.
