Women make up 33% of 350 FTSE company boards. Even though this is a significant increase from 2010 when it was 12.5%, we want to understand what can be learnt from the FTSE company experience in order to further increase the representation of women in the leadership and governance of spinout companies.
Hear from our expert panel including members of the 30% club who are leading a global campaign to increase gender diversity at board and senior management levels.
-Norma Jarboe OBE : Founding Director of Women Count
-Tracey McDermott : Member of the 30% club
-Elizabeth Passey : Member of the 30% club
-Melanie Richards : Member of the 30% club
This event is open to all, but we particularly welcome: Senior academics and researchers, Women who are in the process of establishing or have already established a Spinout company, Scientific experts already on company boards and those with an interest in becoming a board member in the future.
This event is free and part of an EPSRC funded project, Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in University Spinout Companies: A Case for Action which aims to explore and address the underrepresentation of women as founders of university spinout companies.
