This session, led by the Head of Sustainability at Midcounties Coop, will share tips for reducing energy usage in your community business.

Join this informative session to hear directly from Mike Pickering, Midcounties Coop Head of Sustainability, to find out how they have been improving the energy efficiency within their stores and cutting their energy bills. Particularly in light of the recently announced reduction in government energy bill assistance for businesses, energy usage reduction will become increasingly important for us all. We’re going to need to conserve energy to save our businesses money… This webinar will help with that mission.

Energy saving advice will also be available from Phil Warren from ETS (Energy and Technical Services), who offer energy efficiency advice to some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and vintners. Phil will be on hand to share industry best practice and to offer guidance and tips to help attendees develop their own energy saving plans for their community business.

We are delighted to offer this session to participants who would like to attend in-person and will be hosting the session in the Training Room at the Plunkett Foundation in Woodstock, West Oxfordshire. Please arrive at Plunkett Foundation by 1.45pm. Free on-road parking available nearby. Tea and coffee will be served. The formal session will end at 3.30pm, and you are welcome to stay on to network with other local community businesses attending the event afterwards.

Note: this event will be streamed online. If you would prefer to join the event on Zoom – please register at the separate event listing entitled ‘online attendance’.
