About this event

What can I expect from the peer to peer Group?

A unique accelerated learning space that reaches the parts no training course can address. Peer coaching from those who understand where you are coming from.

The structure is to enable women leaders to meet with others and share their ideas and challenges. Through participation in this set you will get support and deeper insight through reflection with peers who understand where you’re coming from because of shared values, and also lead or lead within organisations with social purpose. Participants of these sets consistently give fantastic feedback (see below).

We will explore the questions:

  • As a female leader in social change where are you now?
  • Where do you want to be?
  • How will you get there?

The group is small, confidential and friendly!

Who is it for?

This the latest in a series of action learning peer groups for Oxford Women Leaders in organisations with a strong social purpose and mission. This is for CEO/Directors/Chairs of small or medium sized charities and social enterprises in Oxfordshire. You need to be available and commit to attending all 4 sessions in person at Flo’s in East Oxford (govt guidance re Corona Virus permitting). Admission is by application to check eligibility.

This peer to peer series is open to anyone that identifies as a woman.

Why participate?

What others say:

“Annie’s Action Learning Set was without doubt the most effective professional support and development opportunity of my CEO years. With deep wisdom and sensitivity, Annie creates safe spaces for vibrant conversations and learning. No matter how complex or draining the issues I brought to the group, I emerged from each session feeling nurtured, calm and hopeful. The coaching and facilitation tools Annie shared along the way were a bonus that enriched my supervision and support of my teams”

Tamsin Jewell, former Chief Executive of Elmore Community Services and Chair of the Oxfordshire Anti-Slavery Network. JULY 2019 .

How will the peer group work?

Spaces are limited in order to maximise the benefit for those participating. Applicants will be required to complete a short questionnaire to help assess suitability and compatibility. You may receive a phone call as part of the application process.

Registration for this peer to peer series closes at 5 pm on 30th September 2021.

Facilitators

The group will be hosted by Annie Davy from Flo’s in the Park who is an accredited ILM action learning set facilitator with support from Sophie Kilmister from Aspire who is an experienced peer group facilitator.

Aspire has teamed up with Flo’s, The Place in the Park to form one of our six social enterprise Hubs. Aspire is a multi-award-winning employment charity, established in 2001 to tackle some of the most complex social issues in Oxfordshire. It supports vulnerable local people into, and towards employment and housing, as the most powerful way to break the complex cycles of homelessness, re-offending and poverty.

Flo’s is a Community Benefit Society and Social Enterprise Hub with community-owned café, nursery, Refill Retail outlet, community midwives clinics and more. Based in Florence Park it opened in September 2018 east Oxford, and has become a popular place for people to meet, eat, work, play, create, and learn. Located in the middle of a park with a strong environmental ethos it has nature in mind and wellbeing at its heart.
