economic regeneration, access and abundance vs scarcity, 'new' monopolies and stagnation?

Join us for a webinar where we review Oxfordshire’s progress towards our shared vision of a better future and hear inspiring changemakers

A year on from our last One Planet Oxfordshire event, we’re assessing the progress we’ve made as a county towards our shared vision of a happier, healthier, greener future for Oxfordshire. We will be launching our report which plots progress against certain indicators, identifying areas of strength and areas where we can make improvements.

We will also be hearing from a number of inspiring stakeholders across business, local government and the voluntary sector, who will be sharing their stories of action with us.

This event continues our One Planet Oxfordshire programme, within our international One Planet Living for Towns and Cities programme.

The programme aims to unite all sectors, organisations, groups and individuals across Oxfordshire in a vision to live, work, and play within the limits of our one planet.

This webinar will:

Show how the county is progressing against our co-created One Planet shared vision – a vision for a happier, healthier, greener Oxfordshire
Showcase organisations across sectors taking inspiring action
Give you ideas for how your own organisation can get involved
One Planet Oxfordshire – the details

One Planet Living is sustainability framework, developed by charity/social enterprise Bioregional. It helps people in any context create action plans that help them live, work, and play within the resource limits of our one planet, scaling up climate and social justice action.

So far, One Planet Oxfordshire has been used to unite sectors all across the county, starting with two workshops where we co-created a Shared Vision – based on the One Planet Living framework – that described the future Oxfordshire we wanted to make.

This is an Oxfordshire that is happier, healthier, and greener… and one that helps us as Oxfordshire residents to proportionally live within the resource limits of our one planet. Collaboratively, you came up with 88 Outcomes that address all aspects of sustainability, and ensure human health and wellbeing too.

Then, we scaled up! Multiple organisations, from local authorities to businesses to community groups, have been creating their own One Planet Action Plans. These plans feed into the One Planet Oxfordshire Shared vision and help us all achieve our desired shared outcomes.

As we come to the end of our funded programme, this event will sum up how far we have come and looks forward to next steps.
