Celebrate Oxfordshire cooperatives and learn more about how being a cooperative could benefit your organisation or business.

About this event

Oxford has a thriving cooperative scene with many people committed to making their cooperative run democratically and make a positive change. We would like to celebrate those of you who are members of cooperatives (or community benefit societies, CICs, unincorporated coops etc.) and encourage people who are thinking about changing their organisation or business to be a cooperative, to come and meet people with the practical know how. Food will be provided by the Syrian Sisters’ Damascus Rose Kitchen and drinks will be available at Flo’s. Let’s get together to provide support and celebrate the cooperative community.

This is a get together for Oxfordshire Co-ops or collectives which run cooperatively.

We will kick off with a welcome talk about cooperatives, before opening to the room for questions and discussion, with lots of opportunities to meet and connect with others.

Food and drinks are funded by the eScalate business support programme.

Facilitator

Christabel Buchanan – CAG Oxfordshire

CAG Oxfordshire consists of over 85 groups across Oxfordshire who are at the forefront of community led climate change action tackling issues including waste, transport, food, energy, biodiversity and social justice.

Started in 2001, the network is the largest of its kind in the UK, running over 2,000 events per year, attended by around 80,000 local residents and contributing over 20,000 volunteer hours to the county.
