These workshops provide an introduction to key concepts for early and mid-stage businesses.
About this Event
These workshops, delivered by BioCity, and run in partnership with the Oxford BioEscalator, are suitable for anyone wishing to learn more about commercialisation and best practice tools and techniques to explore your own life-science start up, including post-doc researchers and other academics.
Each session will focus go through the following topics:
Introduction to Lean Start-up – During this session you will look at your potential customer landscape to identify their wants, needs and pain points. You will then assess whether your innovation addresses their needs and issues by using the processes and methodologies of ‘lean start-up’ to test the commercial viability of your idea.
Business Model Innovation – Building on the introductory session on customer needs, you will now learn how to use the Business Model Canvas to develop and plan a sound business model to help you deliver your innovation at pace and scale.
Telling the Story – Now you have developed your value proposition to the customer and your business model, to help you deliver this, you will now learn how to communicate your business proposition effectively to investors and other key stakeholders.
