OSEF is a one-day conference, held annually by the Entrepreneurship Centre at Oxford Saïd to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. The event brings together prominent entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders and investors for a meaningful exploration of how individuals and businesses can transform the world. We’re looking for students, staff and alumni from the University of Oxford to pitch their ventures to a panel of investors and the global OSEF audience with the chance of winning £5,000.

The pitching competition and forum are taking place on Friday 25 February 2022. The Entrepreneurship Centre will invite guest investors to evaluate businesses to determine who will win the prize a cash prize.

The business must fit the following criteria:
Applications are welcome from individuals or teams, but must contain at least one student, alumnus/a or staff member from the University of Oxford
The business is incorporated
The business has not generated more than £250,000 in revenue
Businesses from all sectors are welcome to apply
Up to 8 teams will be selected to pitch at the final event at OSEF. Ventures not selected to pitch at the competition may be invited to exhibit their venture on the day.

Application process: Applicants will be shortlisted from their video submissions to pitch in in-person at an eliminator round at Saïd Business School. The final teams will be selected from the eliminator and provided with pitching training to hone their skills prior to the final event at OSEF.

The dates and times will be as follows ​(exact timings will be confirmed with each successful individual/team):
Deadline closes – 24 January
Video applications assessed for shortlisting 25-26 January
Ventures notified for eliminator round 1 notified – 27 January
Eliminator round pitches between 4pm and 6pm on Thursday 3 February
OSEF pitching event final – Friday 25 February (exact timings to be confirmed)
