The Catalyse entrepreneurship programme is run by Nucleate, a student-run nonprofit organisation with a proven track record of supporting high-impact venture creation through its flagship Activator programme.

Catalyse is an early-stage counterpart to the Nucleate Activator programme, aimed at arming life scientists and engineers of all levels of expertise at UK institutions with the basic knowledge needed to take their first steps as bio-entrepreneurs.

The 2023 programme will kick off with a series of weekly Core Sessions: masterclasses delivered by established biotech entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts, scheduled to take place over 5 weeks in early 2023.

This will be followed by Team Formation Sessions, where participants will be given the option to form a team and to put into practice what has been learnt during the Core Sessions. Teams will be mentored over the following weeks by members of the Nucleate UK Leadership Team, as well as the broader Nucleate network.

Finally, Catalyse will culminate in a Demo Day in the spring, where top teams will be given the opportunity to pitch to a panel of expert judges, with the chance to win a cash prize.

Whether you have a start-up idea you would like to explore, or are simply curious to learn more about entrepreneurship, don’t hesitate to apply today!
