Map the System 2021: Virtual Information Session for University of Oxford Students
About this Event
Student registration for Map the System 2021 is now open!
Join us for a virtual information session on Tuesday 1 December 2020 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm to learn more about the competition, ask questions, and connect with others that are interested in applying (you might even find your teammate!)
What is Map the System?
Map the System is a global competition of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship in partnership with educational institutions across the world. Participants use ‘systems thinking’ as a guiding approach to understanding complex social and environmental challenges and create systems maps as a means to articulate their findings in a way that people can meaningfully understand, share, and learn from – key skillsets for those interested in creating systemic and sustainable social or environmental change.
Who is eligible to apply?
Apply as an individual or in a team of up to 5 members. At least one participant must be a current University of Oxford student. Recent alumni, non-students, or students from another institution may join an eligible University of Oxford team. The University of Oxford team won 1st place among 31 finalist teams in the Map the System 2020 Global Finals and was awarded £5,000 for their project on Women, Violence and Modern Slavery in Papua.
Who is this session for?
This session is for University of Oxford students who are interested in taking part in Map the System.
