Title: Lacking the grounding of Innovation Strategy.

Learning and pivoting from failure is the theme of Innovation Forum Oxford’s 20/21 ACE Saturdays workshop series. This is the fifth workshop in the series, led by Michele Scataglini and Nigel Greenhill, INSTA Associates. Find out more about the entire workshop series here.

This masterclass will teach you key strategic innovation insights around the building and scaling of a successful venture. We will use an original case developed by Michele and Dr Marc Ventresca, Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Said Business School, to understand the role of technologies, market forces, and regulations in the process of developing new products and services, business model innovation and system change.

Michele Scataglini
Founder of INSTA Associates Ltd.

Michele has 20 years of experience in consulting, 10 at EY. He has delivered over 40 projects in 15 countries solving the innovation and strategy challenges facing private and public sector organisations. Since founding INSTA he has assisted clients in the field of energy, digital retail, government to shape new approaches for growth.

He collaborates with the Saïd Business School at Oxford University on research projects and regularly hosts innovation masterclasses. In addition to his Distinction in Oxford’s Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation, Michele holds a BA (Hons) in International Economics, from Trieste University, Italy.

Nigel Greenhill
Partner of INSTA Associates Ltd.

Nigel Greenhill has a rich career spanning 20 years across the public and private sectors and dozens of countries. His combination of experiences and roles business developer, analyst, manager, intrapreneur, and advisor – enables him to bring insights, empathy and sophistication to innovation and strategy that go beyond the traditional experience of consultants.

Nigel has served several consumer goods companies over the past decade exploring global and national level themes and trends, including the SDGs, that will have a direct effect on their customers and broader stakeholders. He is an alumnus of the Saïd Business School, Oxford University, Post Graduated Diploma. IDEOU’s human centred design programme, as well as being Prince II Agile qualified.
