Join RCS President Neil Mortensen and Professor Farah Bhatti on IWD for a conversation with Helena Kennedy and Jane Dacre.

About this Event
As we jump into 2021 facing new opportunities and challenges in society and medicine, we are also celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the RCS England Women in Surgery (WinS) network.

Professor Neil Mortensen, RCS England President, and Professor Farah Bhatti OBE, RCS WinS Forum Chair, will host a webinar on 8 March to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) on the 2021 theme #ChoosetoChallenge. This year, and every year, we choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequity, and choose to celebrate and showcase women’s achievements.

Our featured speakers will include Professor Dame Jane Dacre, Chair of the Mend the Gap report on gender pay gaps in medicine in England, and Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, who is currently chairing an independent review of diversity in the College’s professional leadership.

There is no better time to celebrate 30 years of WinS as we continue to push forward into the bright future of diversity and representation in medicine. Join us on IWD 2021 for ‘A Conversation with Jane Dacre and Helena Kennedy’.
