An initiative powered by the Entrepreneurship Centre
Innovators in Industry is designed for students looking to have an impact and lead change in an organisation. Sessions provide insights to be able to understand real-life challenges in complex structures and how to innovate within them. This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the challenges of being an intrapreneur, how to implement new ideas, work across multiple organisational levels and how to make innovation sustainable. You will be able to share their own professional experience as well as learn from others.
Each session welcomes an industry expert who will share not only the current state of their industry and organisation, but also challenges they have experienced in their roles. Additionally, we encourage experts to pose questions and challenges for the session that will allow participants to put forward ideas and possible solutions that address these and engage their entrepreneurial spirits. To create variety and demonstrate the diversity across complex organisations, we invite industry experts from international organisations, governments, scale-ups, not-for-profits and corporates.
You can attend single sessions or the whole series.
Friday 24 June – 10am – 11am – Justin Hwa – Corporate. Just that word alone conjures up an image of grey suits, endless meetings, authoritarian budgets, rigid hierarchical structures and bureaucratic processes. How can an organisation like that innovate, especially in today’s competitive and rapidly changing landscape? What does it take to alter an industry giant’s course? How can you have an impact, lead change, and advocate for innovation in a corporate?
EnSpire Oxford is a University of Oxford initiative to help connect people to the entrepreneurship resources they need, and to promote entrepreneurship across Oxfordshire.
