Who is this workshop for?

The workshop aims to help attendees to think strategically about board roles as part of their career strategy.

Adding a board or committee appointment to your CV is a sure way of drawing attention and validating your capabilities, whilst catapulting your career up the ladder of success. Individuals that join boards – even of very small organisations – are able to use their experience and technical skills to influence an organisation, whilst at the same time gaining exposure to a wide range of issues from the perspective of a director and building confidence, expertise and networks.

IDEA is hosting this workshop with Women on Boards, a network of 30,000 women, and some men, who are starting and shaping their board careers. The network includes those with all levels of board experience, across all sectors and professional disciplines. Women on Board Ambassadors, most of whom are highly experienced NEDs, offer particular insight and connections to support our work.

Who are the panellists?

We are delighted to be joined by the following panel members who will speak about their experiences as board members:

Monica Chadha

Monica is an experienced non-executive director working in media, data science, higher education and not-for-profit sectors. She is currently Vice Chair and Remuneration Committee Chair. She is also a former CEO of a UK leading content aggregator that marketed and monetised IP.
