Building business resilience, adapting to the new business landscape, and preparing for success
Business consultancy experts Begbies Traynor will host a half-day conference ‘Future-proofing – Building business resilience,’ this Dec 6.
The aim of ‘Building business resilience,’ is to allow business leaders to hear expert economic forecasts in order to best future proof their practice.
The free event will be hosted at the Curzon Cinema, Oxford, Dec 6.
Guest speakers:
- Julie Palmer, Regional Managing Partner – Begbies Traynor
- Mark Berrisford-Smith, Head of Economics – HSBC
- Tim Rogers, Joint Owner and Director – Albion Business Credit
- Katie James, Partner – Blake Morgan
Guest speakers will assist businesses to adapt to the new landscape, helping them plan and prepare for challenges, change and success. In order to build that resilience for the coming challenges, local leaders can garner the thoughts of leading international practitioners.
Examining the looming, volatile economic storm will be central to the discussions of the day, from post-pandemic recovery to Brexit, inflation, increasing fuel and energy costs, supply chain issues, the uncertainty of war in Europe and how they will impact business operations and decision making going forward.
With challenge comes opportunity however and issues such as construction and development and international trade will also feature on Begbies Traynor’s ‘Building business resilience’ agenda.
Begbies Traynor has gathered a panel of expert speakers to discuss just how businesses may benefit from the prevailing economic circumstances.
“We are hoping that local business leaders learn not only how to build resilience into their business but to maximise opportunities as they present themselves,’ said Julie Palmer, South West Regional Managing Partner of Begbies Traynor. “It is very much a forward-thinking, positive discussion on preparation and best practice in these volatile times. To do so we will gain the insight and economic outlook of internationally respected business leaders. Chief among them is HSBC Commercial Banking, Head of Economics, Mark Berrisford-Smith.”
International finance expert Berrisford-Smith is described as “a captivating and entertaining big-thinker and public speaker.”
Attendees will also have an opportunity to speak to experts Julie Palmer of Begbies Traynor and Tim Rogers, Albion Business Credit.
Richard Thompson, Managing Director of The Business Magazine, said: “This is a great opportunity for business leaders right across The Thames Valley, all of whom are feeling similar pressures, yet we, as a community must seek the opportunity to learn from international experts on opportunities within the challenges that lie ahead.
“We are particularly pleased to have signed Mark Berrisford-Smith, who, due to his insights and expertise is in huge demand for speaking engagements.”
